A lucrative client of mine is undergoing a huge growth phase since being acquired and are thus seeking an experienced Commercial sales manager to lead a motivated and dynamic team of sales professionals. Thus, the successful individual will be responsible for the individual and overall team performance.
The team itself consists of both internal and external sales professionals who have a focus on maintaining and growing the enterprise sales space within the commercial sector, on both existing and new prospect growth accounts. You must therefore have had experience dealing with enterprise level clients.
Responsibilities and accountabilities
- Sales and leadership – driving increased performance individually and by leading the team to achieve agreed targets.
- Leading and supporting the sales team through both individual or team driven sales opportunities.
- Implementing and driving new sales initiatives, with direct support from in house, services and marketing teams.
- Managing and motivating the sales team throughout, as well as training and development.
- Managing budget in direct accordance with the company’s expectations, as well as carrying out planning, forecasting, and reporting.
- Creating and assigning effective and compliant sales targets for the team.
- Manage individual and team sales plans using weekly/monthly forums.
- Presenting an accurate pipeline/forecasting updates to senior management.
- Implementing, monitoring and managing KPI’s for maximum team performance.
- Providing monthly board packs that are specific to the team as well as individual performance reports.
- A strong focus on relationship management with local and national vendors/partners to further enhance and develop existing new business lines into target accounts.
- Establishing clear understandings of key initiatives to comply and support vendor goals.
