Genting owns and operates many exciting brands within the centre, including Resorts World Casino, Santai Spa, Genting Hotel, Sky Bar & Restaurant, Vortex Gaming family arcade, The World Bar, The Sports Bar and a thriving meeting and events business. Located opposite the Resorts World Arena and the NEC, Resorts World is part of a busy campus that attracts millions of consumers every year to a diverse range of concerts, exhibitions and events. A vibrant destination with a beautiful lakeside location, it offers a fun and fast-paced working environment.
We are currently recruiting for a Commis Chef on a part time basis, working 32 hours per week. The ideal candidate would be required to ensure all kitchen operations run smoothly by assisting in the food preparation and general up keep of the kitchen. All candidates must be fully flexible to work a variety of shifts Monday-Sunday.
Key Competencies:
- Assisting with the smooth running of the kitchen preparation areas.
- Assisting in food production.
- Assisting in producing menu ideas.
- Maintain the kitchen work areas in accordance with HACCP regulations.
- Storing away all crockery, cutlery and glassware, handling all with great care
- Ensuring that all kitchen equipment such as food mixers, fridges and cookers are in good working order.
- Reporting any fault equipment to the kitchen manager.
- Keeping the storerooms well stocked and organised at all times.
Skills and Experience required:
- Previous experience working as a Commis Chef
- Can accurately follow instructions
- Meticulous in detail
- Able to work unsupervised
