We are currently recruiting for a Commis Chef to be a part of our brand new team at Loreto 6th Form College in Manchester, M15 5PB

This role will start at the end of August, 2024 and is a permanent position.

• Full time – 32.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7am – 2pm

What you'll be doing

• Assist Chefs in kitchen areas they are designated to
• Basic food preparation, ensuring recipes are followed correctly and Health and Safety are adhered to at all times
• Providing excellent customer service
• Working as part of a larger team helping to develop the food offer and customer experience
• Preparing dishes and cooking using recipe cards
• Comply with all relevant food safety legislation
• Supporting with food orders
• To work in a clean and tidy manner
• Check all food is compliant with allergens
• Putting away deliveries and following the FIFO method
• Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
• Counter serving

Experience

• Chef experience at commis level
• Culinary qualification desirable but not essential if you have the experience
• Previous experience of working in a kitchen
• Allergen awareness (i.e Natasha’s Law), full training will be given
• Excellent team player and communicator
