Commis Chef

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Commis to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow in a dynamic kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in food preparation under the guidance of the chef or sous chef
- Ensure all food meets quality standards and is prepared according to recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Support senior kitchen staff in various tasks as needed
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations

Requirements:

- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety practices
- Ability to work well in a team setting
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Culinary or hospitality background is a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
