Solihull Council is looking for a talented communicator to join its central communications team, to support the Mell Square development programme – an ambitious redevelopment project that will transform Mell Square and make Solihull an even better place to live, work and visit. This exciting and high-profile development aims to create new space for high quality retailers, restaurateurs, independent businesses, whilst also providing a range of new housing right in the heart of Solihull town centre.
As a Communications Officer, you will have experience working on public relations and communications with a wide range of organisations and be able to showcase excellent writing skills, as well as practical experience in social media and digital communications.
In this new role within Solihull Council you will be supporting the development programme for Mell Square with a varied mix of PR and marketing, and a little consultation and engagement thrown in. You will be developing communications strategies, managing stakeholders, delivering campaigns and planning activities to support this significant project.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop communication skills in a supportive and dynamic environment. The role will involve working on a hybrid basis between home and the Council offices in Solihull town centre.
