Job Description:

Our public sector client is recruiting for a Communications Officer to join them on a 3-6 months temporary basis.
Our client is based in Edinburgh and offer a hybrid home/remote working model.

This is an urgent hire and therefore early application is advised!

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Proven experience of dealing with media and press queries


• Internal and external communications experience

Core Responsibilities:

• Foster and maintain good professional relationships with individual members of the media and media organisations


• Respond to media inquiries on a daily basis


• Prepare and draft articles about matters of legal interest for dissemination and publication


• Maintain the website by keeping the news section of the website up to date, dynamic and engaging


• Use social media to disseminate information and engage, inform and inspire audiences
