The Opportunity:
The School of Mathematics is seeking to appoint an experienced and creative External Engagement and Communications Officer.
This is the leading role within the School for the promotion of our activities to key external audiences. It will involve the creation, implementation and management of effective communication strategies and plans, as well as building links within the University and externally, in order to identify new opportunities for activities. As well as taking an overarching view of the School’s external communications, the post holder will also provide guidance and oversight of communications internal to the School and support for specified initiatives including our Centres for Statistics and for Operational Research.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week), however, we are open to considering part-time (80%) or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
