As the Communications Specialist, you will support the development and delivery of communications plans and activities for individual change projects to drive awareness, alignment and adoption in support of Johnson Matthey’s transformation communications strategy.

Your responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver communications and engagement plan and activities for individual change/ transformation projects to build awareness, understanding and adoption by stakeholder groups, as part of the overall change approach
- Support Programme Sponsors and Leads in the planning, development and delivery of effective two-way engagement and communications
- Provide input to overall transformation communications and campaigns with the Head of Transformation Communications to drive awareness and alignment with stakeholder groups across Johnson Matthey
- Measure the effectiveness of communication activities in building understanding and engagement for individual change projects, harnessing agreed tools and approaches including pulse surveys and focus groups
- Review and develop action plans to address communications feedback, provide advice and guidance on improving engagement and communications and review and update plans accordingly
- Support members of the transformation community to build their knowledge and experience of engagement and communications
- Proactively participate in the business change network as an SME for communications and engagement
Requirements for the role:
- Educated to degree level and/or have commensurate experience in internal transformation / change communications
- Experience developing organisational transformation objectives into communications and engagement deliverables for targeted activities across a range of different channels and media platforms
- Excellent writing, copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills
- Experience working effectively in a matrix model involving multiple contributors
- Experience of new technologies including all typical MS Office applications, MS SharePoint based websites/portals, Yammer, Photoshop or similar (desirable)
- Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment whilst prioritising and balancing conflicting demands
- Collaborative, consultative, inclusive working style, with the ability to build strong working relationships, work with and positively influence leaders and audiences throughout the organisation
