Job specification:
- Develop relationships with potential prospects for corporate donations, sponsorship opportunities, payroll giving, volunteering, and staff involvement via event participation.
- Engage with local businesses and organisations to actively develop supporters to donate income, pro bono and gifts in kind to the charity.
- Prepare and present high-quality new business proposals, pitches, and presentations to win new business as well as respond to incoming proposals from potential supporters.
- Manage, monitor, and increase donations through community fundraising, community groups, schools, golf clubs, and other groups/clubs in Surrey to build a pipeline of opportunities to enable partnerships.
- To develop relationships, by attending meetings, and opportunities to present the charity, via presentations, talks, and attending events.
- To grow and develop the fundraising ‘ask’ and cases for support, tailored to the potential supporter/donor to develop relationships and unrestricted income.
- To develop ‘piggyback’ opportunities, such as community events, networking events, and sponsorship opportunities that will grow data, income, and awareness.
- To recruit participants for our range of events
- To actively organise and execute pre-existing or new events
- Developing the event, budget plans, and marketing timelines to ensure sign-off and return on investment.
- Support and recruit DIY fundraisers and provide them with resources to maximise income and support to develop long-standing relationships
- Plan and monitor the allocation of the budget in conjunction with the Fundraising Manager.
Person specification:
- Experience in fundraising with a successful track-record of raising fundsand/or a background of account management or business development
- An understanding of the charity sector
- Proficiency in MS office suite
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including face to face, on the telephone and in writing
- To be highly organised and an ability to prioritise a busy workload
- Full UK driver’s licence with unrestricted use of a car
