An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Community Engagement & Outreach Officer to join our Area Development Team.
The successful candidate will support the Community Co-ordination and Engagement Officer in the delivery of good outcomes for citizens of the district; by the strengthening of communities and community groups through effective engagement and outreach services, working in partnership with Councillors, partners and third sector organisations.
In addition to arranging, participating, and supporting area engagement and outreach events, the successful candidate will provide a range of administrative and practical support, including promotion and publicity. Research and data analysis is also a key element of the role.
It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of organising events, supporting meetings, and delivery of community-based programmes in a Community Engagement environment. They will be educated to GCSE level, holding 4 GCSE’s (grades A-C), and be able to demonstrate their skills and knowledge gained through relevant employment. A full, clean drivers’ licence is essential with access to business insurance.
The role is community and office based, with flexibility to support effective service delivery, including home working. Working 37 hours per week the successful candidate must be flexible, as some element of evening and weekend working is required.
