They are currently seeking a Community Support Worker to join them on a full-time basis for a 12 month fixed-term contract to cover a period of maternity, working 35 hours per week.

The Role
As a Community Support Worker, you will support our client’s members across the South-East to achieve their goals, whilst maximising their independence and wellbeing.

Providing a member-led service, you’ll collaboratively plan and oversee the delivery of specialist interventions, wellbeing programmes, rehabilitation events and other activities, focusing on promoting members’ independence and wellbeing.
You’ll carry out risk assessments and identify the needs of individuals and how to meet them, responding to queries and feedback and contributing to the triage process.
Additionally, you will:
- Issue equipment, with support
- Support the development and work of volunteers
- Support partnerships for joint working, member support and future programmes
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and risk management policy
About You
To be considered as a Community Support Worker, you will need:
- Experience of working with people with disabilities to maximise their independence and wellbeing
- Experience and knowledge of completing comprehensive, holistic assessments
- Experience of delivering remote and face-to-face services
- The ability to build positive and effective professional relationships
- The ability to identify safeguarding concerns and act in line with policies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Good IT skills, including MS Office
- A relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent experience
