The Opportunity
Here at QBE, we have a brilliant opportunity to join a well-established and successful Compliance team. This is to Support the Compliance team in their remit to maintain adequate policies, processes, and controls in relation to Licensing compliance (and also Sanctions and Financial Crime compliance to a lesser extent) and other general insurance compliance requirements as appropriate. This would be an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate looking for their first role within the Insurance Industry.
Your new role
Answer Licencing queries and support global licence administration.
Review and update Licensing Matrix to maintain accurate position.
Monitor changes in Lloyd’s and general insurance market position re Licensing and communicate these to the business.
Support with exception reporting.
Review and update compliance policies, guidance, training materials and intranet site content.
Collation and analysis of management information and preparation of associated dashboards and reports.
Preparation of committee/board papers for Licensing Working Group.
Secondary support to sanctions inbox and answer referrals from the business in relation to sanctions and financial crime, undertaking screening, due diligence, and investigations.
Assist with all matters undertaken by the compliance department when required, supporting delivery of the Compliance Plan and associated objectives.
About You
Some compliance experience gained within insurance or financial services would be beneficial to the role.
Strong organisational skills
Strong analytical, research and reporting skills
Ability to handle a varied workload.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
A self-starter and willing to learn.
Ability to work within a team environment.
