Job Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing compliance strategies across their UK offices.
- Setting and implementing the firm's overall compliance strategy across the UK with the Compliance Partner (COLP) and reporting to the Board in respect of same.
- Acting as the firm's assistant general counsel, in respect of all internal legal advice matters.
- Updating the firm on regulatory changes and adapting the firm's policies accordingly.
- Overseeing client onboarding processes, including AML and sanctions.
- Managing data privacy policies and IT security audits.
- Advising on legal, ethical, and regulatory issues, including SRA's Code of Conduct.
- Maintaining risk registers, conflict registers, and regulatory records.
Essential Qualifications:
- UK Qualified Lawyer with 5+ years PQE.
- Experience in AML environments and SRA regulations.
- Knowledge of GDPR and data privacy issues.
Desirable Attributes:
- Strong analytical and reasoning skills.
- Experience in collaborative environments.
- Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail.
- Experience with LLPs and ISO27001.
