DAS UK Group is looking to recruit an organised and efficient Compliance Officer to join the Risk and Compliance department on a permanent basis in our city-centre Bristol offices. Reporting into the Head of Compliance Advice, this is a brilliant opportunityto support the delivery of the compliance framework and provide support to the compliance team and the wider business.
This is a broad and varied role, which covers the FCA, PRA and ICO regulatory frameworks, including financial crime. The successfulcandidate willsupport the team in providing pragmatic second line advice and guidance on general day to day business activities and projects, regulatory change and other initiatives. You will look to provideguidance of regulatory expectations as well as support tocolleagues across the business in proactively identifying, assessing and managing customer and conduct risks and incidents.
In addition, keyresponsibilitieswill include:
- Creating and delivering suitable regulatory compliance training sessions to a range of groups to maintain employee awareness of regulatory standards and expectations
- Supporting horizon-scanning to identify and assess emerging regulatory change, of which the business should take account in its long-term decision making
- Authorship of policies and processes covered by the compliance framework and ensuring that these remain appropriate to the size and complexity of the business, using external networks and sources to establish a proportionate approach
- Supporting the production of compliance reporting and Management Information to relevant committees
We are keen to hear from candidates with previous experience of delivering compliance support within the first or second line of defence. It is desirable that you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant financial services regulation and legislation, but this is not essential.
