Configuration Management Analyst | Permanent | Stoke-on-Trent
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the stability and integrity of the Configuration Management processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Configuration Management policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify configuration items and establish baselines
- Implement and manage configuration control processes to track and document changes to configuration items
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with Configuration Management policies and procedures
- Coordinate and facilitate configuration control board meetings to review and approve changes
- Work closely with development, testing, and release management teams to ensure seamless integration of changes
- Provide expertise and support in the identification and resolution of configuration-related issues
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Configuration Management processes
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven experience as a Configuration Management Analyst or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of Configuration Management principles, processes, and tools
- Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CMII, ITIL) would be a plus
