We are looking for a Construction Supervisor to join our Building team in Cambridgeshire. As a Construction Supervisor you will effectively and professionally manage, monitor, and supervise the construction works including management of relevant subcontract package – delivery in accordance with company procedures, programme requirements and project specifications.
What you'll do:
- Manage the trade contractors including the production of works to drawings and specifications, manage performance on site.
- Oversee subcontractors, labour and material requirements for the contract and support Construction Managers with matters primarily relating to onsite activities.
- Solve site problems when they occur, providing feedback to Project/Construction Managers on any defects or defaults found and put forward any innovative ideas to alter current methodology.
- Understand the design process, and work with the design manager, within cost restraints, to facilitate the design, and coordination of production information, to suit site requirements and conditions.
- Regularly inspect works for compliance with design, and specifications, and ensure all design solutions offered by designers and sub-contractors fully comply with the project requirements.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Suitable experience as a Construction Supervisor on similar size, and type, projects for a tier 1 main contractor
- Have significant site based experience and ideally management of people
- Thorough understanding of the construction process & sequence
- Previous experience working managing building constructions
- Previous experience of working on MoD projects
- Experience in Groundworks and Structures (RC frame)
