We are looking for Elderly Care Consultants to join our team. We welcome dynamic, enthusiastic candidates who are passionate about providing great medical care to our elderly population and are keen to be involved in innovative service development and quality improvement within an outstanding organisation. We welcome applications from candidates who seek flexible, part time and full time posts, as well as candidates who are looking for a fixed term or substantive positions.
Kingston Hospital is a district general hospital rated as outstanding by CQC in 2018. The hospital supports some 320,000 people in the surrounding area including Kingston, Richmond, Roehampton, Putney and East Elmbridge. Our hospital has a much higher proportion of very elderly patients within emergency admissions compared with the London (and England) average and expansion of the elderly care department reflects the large number of elderly people being cared for in our hospital as a whole.
Key Responsibilities:
To contribute to the delivery of a first-class geriatric service, by providing daily consultant-delivered care to patients.To provide educational and clinical supervision for the junior medical team, and for members of the multi-professional, multi-disciplinary, multi-agency teams.
To contribute to the development and delivery of innovative, collaborative, high quality care pathway and protocols, audit and quality improvement.
