We are currently looking for a Civils Contract Manager based in and around the Sittingbourne area.
MAIN DUTIES
Responsible for managing all aspects of civil engineering contracts, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
• Oversee the negotiation, drafting, and management of civil engineering contracts.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor contract performance and address any deviations or issues that arise during project execution.
Project Planning and Scheduling:
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Allocate resources effectively to meet project objectives and deadlines.
• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise project disruptions.
Supervision and Coordination:
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project managers, engineers, and other team members.
• Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to monitor progress and address any
concerns.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
• Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that work meets relevant standards and specifications.
• Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project life cycle.
Cost Control and Budget Management:
• Monitor project expenditures and manage costs to ensure adherence to budgetary
constraints.
• Review and approve project budgets, change orders, and cost estimates.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising project quality.
Client Relations and Stakeholder Management:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
• Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
REQUIREMENTS
- HNC or higher in construction related subject
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of construction industry
- CSCS card
- Full driving licence
- Experience in senior management role
- Understanding of health and safety issues
- Knowledge of rail industry and its regulations
Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
