Job description

We care about our staff too!

  • Contracted 2 weekly shift schedule (no nasty surprises)
  • Visits in very close proximaty in Morecambe
  • Excellent pay
  • Excellent work/life balance
  • Shift schedules tailored to candidate requirement
  • Apporachable management, that cares about you too
  • Zero toxicity - predominantly lone working
  • 100% positive feedback and reviews from all carers and client
  • Outstanding reward scheme that rewards good employees with free holidays, evenings away, helicopter rides and more!

We pride ourselves on our excellent standards and reputation, both as an employer; and as a care service. MoralCare was created by Rebecca Williamson in 2021 after working for numerous homecare companies that were just not up to scratch; they provided impossible travel times, poor working conditions/rotas, unrealistic standards, and unhappy clients.

We ensure our team has room to breathe, and have the security and freedom of contracted shifts and contracted days off. We employ a range of positions to suit everyone from part-time, full-time, and even bank positions.

We're looking to employ carers who share our vision of providing excellent care, and who are passionate about supporting the often forgotten and most vulnerable generation.

No experience is needed, though preferred, as full shadowing, training, and qualifications will be offered. A* full driving license, use of a vehicle, and KINDNESS are all that is required. *

Role:

  • Administer & manage people's medication
  • Ordering & collecting medication
  • Support with personal care
  • Commode and continence care
  • Support people with dementia/Parkinsons and other common illnesses in elderly people.
  • Pursuading and encouraging people who lack the capacity or motivation
  • Light domestic duties/ bed changes
  • Meal preparation and cooking
  • Applying creams, skincare
  • Supporting people to make GP appointments, referrals, liaising with other health care professionals
  • Companionship, emotional support
  • Dignified end-of-life care
  • Please note our positions are mainly solo working and visiting people's homes.

What makes MoralCare the leading care employer?

  • We care about our staff. If our staff are happy and content, they will deliver excellent care standards. (See reviews from our staff on Indeed/ Google/Facebook) Or even read our CQC inspection report.
  • We offer an exclusive reward program. The staff that go above and beyond are constantly rewarded, not just expected. We send our team on helicopter rides, overnight stays, holidays abroad, and pamper sessions!
  • Our runs make sense. Travel times are more than achievable, within extremely close proximity and all travel time is paid for. (Even if you use your travel time to check in at home to see how the hubby is getting on with the kids!)
  • We offer continuity of clients, so you can build up trusting professional relationships and provide effective care.
  • We are the only employer in the area that offer contracted shifts on exact days, with a predictable contracted pattern. This ensures our team can know when they won't be at work so they can plan ahead and plan their life, whilst also having the security of consistent work and a safety minimum hour clause in their contracts so they know they will never be without work.... Be wary of employers that offer exact hour contracts (I.e 40hrs) as this could mean they schedule those hours last minute, in places that suit them only)
  • We treat our staff well and pay our staff well.
  • No night shifts or extremely late shifts.
  • We have supportive managers and a positive work culture.
  • If you're thinking "It's probably too good to be true...", feel free to apply to the bank team so you can see for yourself, without giving up your current job before taking the plunge.

Shifts:

Our shifts are scheduled in the slots of 7am to 2pm or 2pm to 9pm, with alternate weekends off. The exact days and shifts can be negotiated to suit the applicant and company.

Pay :

  • £13.05per hour for all visit time
  • £11.44per hour, for travel and waiting time (applicable to the 10 minutes between appointments)
  • Additional 25p per mile (and can claim a further 20p for each mile from HMRC each year).
  • £18.75 Bank Holidays
  • £20ph Christmas Day
  • Cost of DBS will be reimbursed in the first pay

The desired candidate will have good time-keeping skills to work to a schedule, and be adaptable to a range of different needs and personalities, but overall be a happy and supportive person. Must be able to work independently, keep motivated, and maintain our excellent standard of care that they would be proud to deliver to their own parents.
