Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced and hard-working Contracts Manager, that is able to ‘hit the ground running’ for one of our highly reputable and ever-growing clients.
Job Duties:
The successful applicant will be responsible for Contract Negotiation and Management, including but not limited to:
The development and promotion of a robust contract management framework which is aligned to and underpins the Trust Strategic Direction
Observing personal duty of care in relation to equipment and resources used in the course of the work
Safeguarding equipment issued to them to enable them to perform their role, such as laptops, screens and mobile phones
Management of members of the contracts team as indicated in the organisational structure for the portfolio for which they are responsible
Line management of direct reports, including setting objectives and undertaking appraisals, managing conduct, performance and managing health and sickness issues as and when they arise
Ensuring staff receive appropriate training and on-going development to enable them to fulfil their roles competently and safely
Communicating to a high standard using written reports and verbal presentations, providing clear explanations and transmitting information. You will need to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, including Clinicians and managers at all levels
Successful Candidates:
Proven significant experience in a contract management role
Experience identifying and interpreting national policy
Proven experience of proactive contract management
Experience with drafting, agreeing and implementing contracts
Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft applications, in addition to electronic and manual data collection systems
Highly developed specialist knowledge of negotiating and drafting contract management documentation
Contract negotiation, contract management and mentoring skills
Excellent IT skills, particularly in relation to creating, formatting and manipulating word documents and spreadsheets
Excellent communication skills including the ability to present contractual information both verbally and in writing
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Ability to influence and negotiate with managers, clinicians and key stakeholders
Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to maintain good relationships
Ability to regularly concentrate for prolonged periods of time, including physically able to work most of the day at a computer workstation
Able to independently travel throughout geographical locations
Working Hours, Pay Rate and Other Information:
You will be required to work on a Part-Time basis, 22.5 hours per week.
The role is being offered on a Fixed term assignment to cover Maternity leave for up to 1 year.
Your rate of pay will be £14.33 per hour for the first 12 weeks, increasing to £18.10 per hour after this period.
The role is suitable for remote working, however you will be required to attend the office base to collect equipment and undertake an induction. The office base is in Doncaster, DN4.
