What is the key purpose of this role?

Successfully manage real-time NTS RAIL train operations through the Control Room function to ensure safety, security, and reliability and that all customer and stakeholder requirements are met. Manage events that disrupt planned operations by working to restore the service to normal as quickly as possible by redeploying fleet and train crew resources as required. Communicate regular service updates to customers and colleagues on service performance.

• Experienced TOPS and associated Systems Operator with experience in a TOPS/CONTROL function role
• Knowledge of railway network, key parties and responsibilities, overall structure
• Successfully manage real-time NTS RAIL train operations through the Control Room function to ensure safety, security, and reliability and that all customer and stakeholder requirements are met
• Comply with the relevant procedures, work instructions and methods of work as outlined in the Control Manual
