Controls Team Leader Greater Manchester Permanent - GBP52-55k + bonus (up to 10% of basic salary)
Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Controls Team Leader for a well-established special purpose machine manufacturer based about 12 miles North of Manchester. The successful Controls Team Leader will be electrically qualified and have good knowledge of PLCs (fault finding / bug fixing level) as well having some existing people leading/managing experience.
Key aspects of the Controls Team Leader role include
- The Controls Team Leader will manage a small team comprising of an Electrical Design Engineer, a Controls Engineer and an apprentice.
- The bulk of the role will focus on mentoring, leading and supporting the team
- A background in Electrical Engineering, Controls & PLCs (preferably Siemens and/or Rockwell) is required as well as knowledge of site based commissioning
- Could suit a Controls Team Leader from a machine building or maintenance background
- Knowledge of hydraulics extremely useful
- Oversee the design and development work of the team by checking and approving drawings
- Create and maintain design files
- Support the team with testing and troubleshooting on the shopfloor
- Experience of working within set procedures and ability to set up and document procedures
- Training budget available
- Full order book for 2024 building on a successful 2023 dealing with globally recognised, market leading companies
- Role will be mainly office/shopfloor based with occasional international travel company estimates 2-3 trips per year
