Conveyancer

Kelly Services are recruiting for a Conveyancer to join our client on a full-time and permanent position based in Leicester.

Salary: circa £24,000 - £26,000 per annum depending on experience.

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

The Role

As a Conveyancer you will be working within our client's busy conveyancing team dealing with a wide range of residential property matters and to undertake fee earning work under supervision. Due to our clients team structure, this role is not a designated file owner, however, you will have responsibility for progressing transactions alongside the team leader.

Day to day responsibilities include:

• Drive the quote handling protocol and procedures to continually improve the quoting process
• Ensure all client queries are handled in a timely and professional manner, whilst giving full and accurate information
• First point of contact, deal with all conveyancing quote requests and service queries from individuals
• Complete follow-up activities on each enquiry and keep referrers up dated
• Guide clients through the process of instructing the next steps
• Send initial instruction documentation to the client and allocate to a Conveyancing Legal Team
• Keep accurate records of all client contact via relevant systems
• Identify additional business opportunities/cross referral opportunities and act on such opportunities
• Maximise fee income for the department and Firm by converting as many opportunities as possible into new clients/ new matters

To be considered for this Conveyancer position, you will need relative experience running your own conveyancing caseload or dealing with a wide range of residential property matters. Additional key skills requires are:

• Excellent communication skills
• Capable of working towards tight deadlines and under pressure
• Enthusiastic, hardworking and can demonstrate initiative
• Organised and able to complete assigned tasks effectively and promptly
• Adaptable and accommodating
• Excellent attention to detail
• ICT competent, particularly with reference to the use of Word and Excel
