Job Title: Residential Legal Secretary

Location: South Woodford

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 DOE

I am assisting my client in their search for a new Residential Property Assistant/Secretary that is able to work with minimal guidance when it comes to aiding a Senior Fee earner and small team. Therefore, a few years of experience working as a Conveyancing Legal Secretary is essential.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative and paralegal support to the solicitor dealing with residential conveyancing matters

Assisting with the opening, progression and closure of residential conveyancing files

Drafting and preparing legal documents and contracts

Liaising with clients, estate agents and solicitors

Preparing Land Registry applications

Preparing completion statements

Researching matters of law relevant to transactions

Keeping up-to-date with changes in the law

Requirements:

A minimum of two years" experience in a similar role

Knowledge and experience of residential conveyancing

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

Excellent attention to detail

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
