Reports to: Marketing Director

Location: Head Office - London may include hybrid working

Salary: 3 working days/£40000 per annum


Purpose of role

To develop and embed a Zizzi Tone of Voice (TOV) across the business, bringing Zizzi's 'voice' to life across all customer and employee touchpoints.

Key Accountabilities of the role

  • Lead, define, develop, and implement a Zizzi TOV to underpin the launch of an evolved brand positioning and the delivery of ambitious marketing growth plans.
  • Create, continually evaluate, and take ownership of all content materials and processes to develop a compelling and distinctive TOV.
  • Be the brand guardian for all customer communications and experiences - encouraging, inspiring and training teams to live the brand, bring the essence of Zizzi to life through words and tone.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop a TOV in line with our evolved brand positioning and identity, partnering with an external agency to help develop and shape it.
  • Own the TOV within the business and execute it across a broad range of customer communications and interactions including; menu and dish descriptors, advertising campaigns, restaurant collateral and experiences, website and digital journeys, CRM and social media campaigns.
  • Champion customer research to understand motivating language and nuances in content appeal to support your choice of words and ideas.
  • Continuously think channel first, not just one size fits all, thus producing content that's most impactful and appropriate. Use the right tone and language to connect with the audience.
  • Work collaboratively with both internal and external creative teams to create copy and visual synergy whether it be for quick content ideas or bigger brand activations.
  • Collaborate with regulatory and food teams to ensure our content meets regulatory requirements.

  • A true customer and brand champion who always views everything through the eyes of our customers.
  • Comfortable challenging conventional thinking.
  • Able to work independently and 'manage up' whilst keeping line manager and peers closely aligned and bought into deliverables.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, project management ability, with the ability to prioritise work, work with urgency, and juggle multiple deadlines and initiatives.
  • A strong eye for detail

Essential

  • English/journalism degree or equivalent professional writing qualification
  • Experience of using TOV to transform brands and businesses across multiple channels.

Preferable

  • Good understanding of SEO and the role content plays in driving this channel.
