The speed read:
A tech content marketing agency is looking for a Midweight Copywriter.
The facts:
You’re looking to create work for the big names; the responsive, down to earth clients that know what they want and when they want it. Your skills lie in short form content – headlines, taglines, emails, landing pages, paid social media posts and banner ads. No long blog posts or opinion pieces in sight.
You know how to keep yourself motivated when working on multiple projects to tight deadlines and will never settle for work that makes people’s eyes glaze over. When you write you’re not just regurgitating what the brief said – you’re translating it with a flair. And while you’ve done it before, you’re always looking to learn from those who’ve done it longer.
From the initial concept to final piece – you can get a grasp on the project and make it yours. But you also know how to collaborate well with fellow copywriters (2/3) as well as other departments to make the final piece stand out from the crowd.
Hopefully you’re of a naturally creative and curious nature as the agency will fund a gallery/museum/creative subscription of your choice as well as a gym membership. Or if that sounds horrible, something else that will enhance your outside-work lifestyle. Being into B2B tech you may well understand how the cogs work, but you certainly won’t feel like one!
You’ll be:
- Translating technical jargon into clear and informative copy.
- Working mostly on one big client, but able to pick up other project as they come up.
You’ll have:
- B2B or agency experience or both. Either way you get the ebb and flow of writing content marketing for cool tech brands.
- 3+ years in the industry – but we will review for talent not years of doing the work.
- Experience covering software, technology, or similar.
