A well regarded, full service law firm based in Cheltenham is currently seeking to appoint an experienced Corporate and Commercial Solicitor to join their existing and well established team.
This legal practice is well recognised for its exceptional client service and are looking for a qualified solicitor or legal executive with a minimum of 4 years’ PQE that shares in the same values.
The role involves working on various matters such as mergers and acquisitions, investment agreements, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, corporate reorganizations, EMI options and share schemes, LLPs and Partnerships, commercial contracts, and due diligence. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Corporate and Commercial Director to contribute to the growth of the department and enhance the client base. Key tasks involve developing a matter list, drafting and negotiating transactional documents, understanding client circumstances, providing top-tier client care, and supporting the growth of the department and the wider business.
Skills and Knowledge
The ideal candidate will be a Solicitor qualified in England and Wales with a minimum of 5 years PQE, although applicants with more or less experience are welcome. Demonstrable knowledge of corporate law, including agreements, articles of association, LLPs, partnerships, and preferably experience in advising on commercial contracts, is essential. Other required skills include high-quality legal document drafting, a commercial mindset, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in IT (MS Office, Proclaim or similar case management systems), and a good understanding of risk and compliance.
