They are looking to recruit an experienced Corporate and Commercial Solicitor to join their ambitious team on a full time, permanent basis.

They are seeking a motivated 5+ year PQE Corporate and Commercial Solicitor to enhance their busy Corporate and Commercial team based at their Cheltenham office. Successful candidates must be a qualified Solicitor or a Chartered Legal Executive with at least 5 years’ PQE and substantial knowledge of Corporate and Commercial matters. This role will suit a highly accomplished Corporate and Commercial Solicitor looking to further their career with a reputable firm.

Corporate and Commercial Solicitor main duties:

• Mergers and acquisitions

• Investment agreements

• Shareholder agreements and joint venture

• Corporate and reorganisations

• EMI options and share schemes

• LLPs and Partnerships

• Commercial contracts

• Due diligence

• Developing your own matter list

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating on a broad range of transactional, Corporate and Commercial documents on behalf of clients

• Understanding and assessing clients’ circumstances, their needs, objectives, priorities and constraints and providing the highest level of client care

• Participate in the growth and development of the department the wider business

• Achieve designated levels of billing and time recording

• Provide assistance/support to junior members of the team

Corporate and Commercial Solicitor desired skills and experience:

• You will be a Solicitor qualified in England and Wales with a minimum of 5 years PQE, however this does not preclude applicants with more or less experience

• Demonstrable knowledge of corporate law, including agreements, articles of association, LLPs and partnerships and preferably some knowledge and experience in advising on commercial contracts for the supply of goods and services etc

• The ability to draft legal documents to a high standard with attention to detail

• Commercially minded

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• IT savvy and proficient in the use of MS Office and experience of using a case management system such as Proclaim

• A good understanding of risk and compliance
