About you
A university degree or equivalent professional qualification and a minimum of 2 years' experience in:
a) leading work streams which demonstrate specialist knowledge in the application of equality legislation or
b) leading stakeholder involvement and consultation processes in respect of organisational policy.
OR
A diploma or equivalent professional qualification and a minimum of 3 years' experience in:
a) leading work streams which demonstrate specialist knowledge in the application of equality legislation or
b) leading stakeholder involvement and formal consultation processes in respect of organisational policy.
A minimum of one years' experience in the development and delivery of training and/or presentations.
A sound working knowledge of Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998 including requirements for public sector organisations and related processes.
Hold a current full driving licence and/or * have access to a form of transport which will permit the applicant to meet the post requirements in full.
What you’ll do
To manage and monitor implementation of the organisation’s Equality Scheme and Disability Action Plan.
To develop systems of engagement with key stakeholders including service users.
To support the Assistant Director in the management of policy screening and Equality Impact Assessment within the organisation.
To undertake benchmarking and research activities.
To deliver training related to Equality and Human Rights including Senior Managers.
To produce management reports including statutory progress reports for submission.
To work with colleagues in the development and implementation of systems to ensure compliance with duties under the Disability Discrimination Act.
