Corporate Transaction Actuary

Miryco Consultants are working with a leading Insurer and Asset Manager to recruit a commercially minded actuary to work in the Corporate Transaction team.

The successful applicant will have strong technical pensions knowledge and trustee management skills. This is an excellent opportunity at the pinnacle of a fast-growing market, ideal for ambitious and high-performing actuaries.

Responsibilities:

• Lead an implementation portfolio as sole representative to trustees and advisors.
• Contribute to business development presentations and display the firm’s pipeline and capacity for growth.
• Liaise with execution and business development teams to confirm crucial contractual terms on each transaction.
• Assist new business pricing teams in the balancing of benefit specifications with liability proposals.
• Chair meetings with clients and their administrators to ensure commitments are met punctually.
• Work with Operations to help onboard new schemes and their liabilities onto existing book and transition them into BAU management stage.

Skills & Experience:

• Technical pensions knowledge including current rules & regulations and industry challenges.
• Thorough knowledge of the de-risking market and associated products.
• Background working on pension schemes and benefit structures.
• Exposure to working with or for pension advisory firms.
• Ability to manage complex projects / stakeholder groups.
• Competent project manager and able to execute transactions and deliver reports under pressure.

Location: London

Salary: Up to £85,000
