What you ll do
In this pivotal role within the Transactional Accounts team, you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining standard costs for specific codes across our branch network. Your responsibilities include creating precise schedules, ensuring accurate allocation through monthly journals to reflect in Profit and Loss statements. You will actively support performance analysis, collaborate with various teams, and ensure timely posting of costs through collaboration with accounts payable and property teams. Your commitment to financial integrity extends to meticulous Balance Sheet Reconciliations, annual budgeting, and audit support. Additionally, you will analyse hours worked, oversee property-related costs, and identify automation opportunities for process optimisation. Your role contributes significantly to financial accuracy and efficiency within the organisation.

What you need
We are looking for candidates actively pursuing or holding a relevant qualification like ACCA or CIMA, with some experience in accounting or a Finance function. The ideal candidate will demonstrate high numeracy skills, be a team player with strong analytical abilities, and possess good IT skills, particularly in Excel. Taking responsibility for their duties and embracing new challenges, the candidate should be well-presented with excellent communication skills, high accuracy, and attention to detail. Highly organised with effective prioritisation abilities, the candidate should also show a commitment to continuous personal development. Desirable qualifications include experience or an understanding of the demands of a growing business, familiarity with working in a branch or network organisation across a significant geographic area, and proficiency in financial management software such as Access Dimensions or similar systems.
