Location: Head Office, Nottingham (hybrid working, 2 days a week onsite)
Salary: £45000 - £60000
We have an exciting opportunity to join The Nottingham Building Society as a Finance Business Partner!!
In this integral role, you'll collaborate closely with key stakeholders, providing financial insights and guidance to drive informed decision-making in relation to cost and Investment.
You will lead the cost budgeting and forecasting process across both administrative and Investment expenditure, partnering with stakeholders across the Society you will provide insight and guidance as a subject matter expert to achieve the right outcomes for the Society.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing as a Finance Business Partner at The Nottingham –
- Co-ordinate the achievement of the Society’s cost targets and business efficiencies.
- As an SME, recommend approaches to cost control and efficiency, utilising cost benchmarking studies to achieve efficiencies.
- Lead the reporting framework to budget holders on payroll, non-payroll, capital and project costs.
- Maintain the cost analysis of the channel profitability model to support the strategic view of the Society.
- Partner with key stakeholders and provide financial insight, analysis and appropriate challenge of stakeholders in support with delivery of the Society’s financial performance.
- Lead on the management of the Project Expenditure Plan presenting the latest position to relevant stakeholders and committees.
- Partner with the Change team to provide cost analysis for all projects, ensuring the cost / benefits of the project are embedded within the budgeting process.
- Influence good cost management behaviours across the business and drive for continuous improvement.
About you: -
We are looking for a qualified accountant, with strong data, excel and modelling skills. You will have experience of cross-functional working and building strong relationships with the ability to present data to stakeholders in a clear, concise and digestible way
You will be personable and commercial, demonstrating a drive for best practice standards and continuous improvement. As a Finance Business Partner it is essential for this individual to have exceptional relationship building skills to work with stakeholders across the business at all levels, including Executives on a day-to-day basis.
