**FP&A Cost Accountant** (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for Extension

Location: Nottingham/Hybrid

Rate: A highly competitive Umbrella Day rate is available for suitable candidates

About this role

We're excited to have an opportunity in our Finance cost team for a fully qualified Cost Accountant. This role sits within the FP&A team and reports into the Finance Manager for costs. In this role you'll support two key areas: (1) Finance Business partnering and (2) Month end close & reporting.

Role Requirements:

• Support production and explanation of financial results to business partners, including monthly variance analysis and headcount reporting


• Work with business owners to generate accurate forecasts


• Review and assess ad hoc financial requests from the business including management of headcount


• Perform ad hoc deep dive analysis on business areas focused on operating efficiency


• Support month end close process, through journal management & oversight


• Improve automation by working with our finance systems team on new uploads and reporting templates

Skills & Experience:

• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) with demonstrable post qualified experience, some of which within FP&A or equivalent.


• Strong reporting and analytical skills e.g accurate and timely reporting and commentary, spotting potential errors or adjustments


• Exposure to US GAAP.
