We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate counsellor to join our team. As a counsellor with us, you will play a pivotal role in providing effective and evidence-based counselling sessions to children and families in need. Your work will involve conducting assessments, developing care pathways, and ensuring that interventions are delivered to the highest standard, always with a focus on recovery and positive outcomes.

In our vibrant Camden service, every day is a new experience, and we treat each person as a unique individual. We are a diverse and collaborative team, comprising a dedicated ensemble that includes a service manager, consultant psychiatrists, social workers, psychologists, medical professionals, compassionate nurses, attentive healthcare assistants, empathetic recovery staff, passionate volunteers, efficient administrators, and supportive peer mentors.
Hours: 22.5 per week
Responsibilities:
- A relevant counselling or psychotherapy qualification.
- Registration with BACP, UKCP, or accreditation with NCPS
- An understanding of various evidence-based models addressing the impact of substance misuse
on the family system (MPACT, CRAFT etc) - Training or qualification in substance misuse or related issues (desirable)
- An understanding and knowledge of factors influencing substance misuse
- Familiarity with counselling interventions and their applicability to substance misuse
