About the role:

Supply Desk are working with a Secondary school based in Fareham that are seeking a full time General Cover Teacher to start ASAP on a long-term contract until the summer. The role will be teaching in Key Stage 3 and KS4 in the timetable too.

About the School:

The School is a mixed Secondary School for students aged from 11 to 16 years with around 700 students in total. The School is based in Fareham. The school was graded as a Good School in its last Ofsted inspection and continues to perform well.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide cover for absent teachers across various subjects and year groups within the secondary school.

- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans effectively, ensuring continuity in learning during teacher absences.

- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

- Engage students in active learning experiences, catering to different learning styles and abilities.

- Collaborate with department heads and colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the school curriculum.

- Contribute to the school's extracurricular activities and events where appropriate.

Requirements:

- Experience working with secondary school students is desirable.

- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to various teaching scenarios.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- A proactive and flexible approach to teaching.

- Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of students.

- Knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
