Crèche Assistant

MPA Recruitment are recruiting for a Crèche Assistant is to assist the Play Development Assistant ensuring the smooth running of the Crèche. The Crèche/Daycare Assistant should support the Play Development Assistant in providing a stimulating and varied programme of play, in order to enhance each child’s abilities; and in a way which ensures the safety and well being of the children at all times.

Responsibilities:

-To provide a high standard of physical care and to ensure safety of children at all times.

-To assist in implementing and reviewing plans of work to be undertaken with groups of children and individual children depending on their particular needs. And ensure areas are prepared in advance in accordance with same.

-To regularly assess children’s progress and needs and maintain records as appropriate.

-To help plan, prepare plans of work which stimulate all children as part of a team approach.

- To keep completely confidential any information regarding children, their families or other information which is learnt as part of the job.

-To communicate effectively with colleagues in the team and participate in team meetings.

- To work in partnership with parents and families as directed by the Centre Leader.

-To inform Centre Leader of any concerns about a child, equipment needing repaired or replaced or the work practice of colleagues.

-Participate in special events, outing and visits.

Requirements:

MUST HAVE NCQ Level 3 in Childcare.
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting
- Strong drive to support the development of young learners
- Leadership skills to guide and supervise children effectively

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary contract

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 30 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
