My client is one of the largest financial institutions headquartered in Japan, with an established presence across all consumer and corporate banking businesses. Through its subsidiaries and affiliates, they offer a diverse range of financial services, including commercial banking, leasing, securities, credit card, consumer finance and other services.
Job Role:
As a Credit Analysis, you will help the bank make correct credit decisions and highlight credit concerns in advance. The Role holder plays an essential role in supporting senior colleagues during the whole lifecycle of transactions, from preparation of Transaction Summary Sheets, credit applications, liaising with credit department, undertaking customer due diligence, regularly analysing customer credit, assisting in documentation, deal closing and dealing with other post-closing activities.
Assignments:
- Prepare Transaction Summary Sheets and relevant deal return calculations in order to provide basis for RMs, senior members of the team, management, and stakeholders from other departments for making decisions on appropriate strategies for each potential transaction.
- Conduct credit analysis as required and document it appropriately, preparing preliminary conclusions and making suggestions on appropriate course of action.
- Independently download/enter/check financial information into the banks systems (financial statements, prepare projections if required, transaction details etc.) for correct assessment of credit grade and prepare submission of credit applications to Credit Department.
- Prepare Client Account Plans / strategies in consultation with RMs.
- Proactively identify and follow all necessary compliance and internal procedures required by filling out necessary forms, making enquiries etc. to ensure full compliance with the Bank's procedures.
- Working with RMs and other senior members produce pitchbooks and other presentation materials for clear communication of relevant points to the addressees in order to win mandates for transactions (externally) or garner support (internally).
Skills and Experience:
- Basic to intermediate understanding of financial statements and credit analysis principles and generally have strong numerical and communication skills with ability to work in multicultural, fast-paced team environment.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office suite of applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in the written form in a clear and concise manner.
- A basic knowledge of general commercial banking terminology, products and concepts is required.
- Familiarity with banking industry applications and industry financial knowledge is an advantage.
- Basic level of aviation finance industry expertise is desirable.
