Credit Control Assistant

Location: Central Cambridge

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Salary: £31,000 per annum

As the Credit Control Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the outstanding sales balances falling due and ensuring payment of outstanding invoices by appropriate use of e-mail, letter, and telephone contact with high end clients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role, knowledge of any e-billing platforms and knowledge of VAT rules.

What we are looking for in you:

• IT literate - must be comfortable working with new IT systems
• Proactive approach to problem solving
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role
• Knowledge of any e-billing platforms
• Knowledge of VAT rules

What your duties will look like:

• Sending out statements of accounts to our clients
• Recording all communications made with clients
• Sending out copy invoices to clients
• Liaising internally with fee earners and other internal teams
• Daily banking of cheques (when received)
• Posting receipts on to an IPT system and allocating the payment to outstanding invoice
• General sales ledger administration to ensure our client records are kept up to date
• Maintain the Sterling, US$ and Euro cashbooks
• On-boarding new clients
• Regularly meet and discuss with the Credit Controller and Financial Controller the position on new clients, debtors, cash collections against targets and any related issues
