We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Finance team. This role is integral to our operations, dealing primarily with invoicing and collection from local authorities in line with contracts. The ideal candidate will have a background in credit control, with a willingness to learn the specifics of the Adult Social Care environment. Familiarity with Sage 200 & Outlook is beneficial, but training will be provided.
Day-to-day of the role:- Liaise with local authority clients regarding payable invoicing, resolving any queries, issuing credit notes, and ensuring correct billing.
- Communicate with private clients to arrange Direct Debit setups and facilitate account payments via card.
- Authorise and arrange credit notes as required.
- Manage new account openings, including credit checking.
- Produce, review, and distribute monthly statements.
- Conduct ad hoc reviews and reporting for individual branches as needed.
- Work towards department KPIs in collaboration with the team.
- Participate in weekly credit control meetings.
- Previous experience within a credit control environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with Sage 200 & Outlook experience advantageous.

Our finance team is based in modern, open-plan offices in Peterborough, and is part of a larger group that includes 38 branches. We offer a professional, friendly, and supportive work environment with standard working hours from 08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday, including a 1-hour lunch break.
