About the opportunity:
We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a multi award winning financial advisor support group based in Horsforth, Leeds. We are presenting a new opportunity for a Credit Controller to join their friendly and supportive Legal and Insurance team.
(This is a fixed term opportunity, working on a project that is expected to last around 3 years).
As the Credit Controller you will be responsible for ensuring overdue payments are collected through written correspondence and allocated in a timely manner, minimising the exposure and risk to aged debt. You will be assisting and liaising with external partners to provide support with litigation claims and obtaining progress reports.
You will create and maintain detailed debt collection records, monitor, and provide insights into the progress of all debt collection activity, receive payments, and accurately allocate receipts to specific debtor accounts.
The successful candidate will possess a desire to learn and have excellent communication skills.
This is a great opportunity if you have previous experience in a similar role or if you have a strong interest to start a career in Credit Control as full training and support will be provided.
Requirements
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience within a similar role would be beneficial, however full training and support will be provided.
- Experience in issuing PAP (Pre-action protocol letters) would be desirable.
- Highly organised with a good attention to detail.
- Strong communications skills, written & verbal.
- Team player with a great work ethic.
- Willingness to learn.
- Demonstrate a flexible attitude with the ability to multitask.
- Good all-round administrative experience.
- Ability to build/maintain good working relationships with peers and other key stakeholders.
