SalaryWe have a fantastic opportunity for a Credit Controller to join a global organisation near Grays, Essex.
Salary: up to £40,000 DOE - Hybrid working (pending probation and training)
Start: ASAP
Due to the location of their offices, it's not easily accessible via public transport so the client are looking for candidates who have a UK Driver's License and access to a vehicle.
Job Purpose:
This is a key role within the organisations finance team. You will be responsible for the credit control for a ledger that exceeds £30m per month, working in a small team and will also be responsible with all aspects of Accounts Receivable management.
Main Duties
- Day to Day Credit Control
- Cash Allocation - Daily
- Issue resolution / Account item management.
- Query Resolution
- Customer Credit Limit Reviews
- Finance Customer File Management
- Liaison with senior internal staff re billing and customer management.
- Monthly statement production and distribution.
- Monthly balance sheet controls reconciliation.
- Month end reporting as required.
- Other ad hoc tasks as required.
About you:
The client are looking for someone who is a keen and diligent person with previous experience in an Accounts Receivable Role. The successful candidate must be flexible, show a willingness to learn and be willing to be responsible for a sizeable Accounts Receivable Ledger.
As you will be responsible for an entire ledger (approx 1300 invoices per month), in terms of credit management and control; the client are looking for someone with a clear eye for detail and the utmost integrity whilst ensuring accuracy with their work and maintaining internal relations. You should have proven experience of working in a finance department in similar roles and be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the above responsibilities.
Desired Skills / Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience as a Credit Controller working at a large organisation (Ledgers of £20m+ per month)
- Microsoft Office Skills
- Previous experience in major accounting package (sage / Xero), or IT system
- AAT / ACCA / CIMA Qualifications preferred
