ABPM are exclusively recruiting a Credit Controller / Finance Assistant for our fast-paced manufacturing client.
Your main duty will be to manage and maintain the credit control function, ensuring timely collections for outstanding debts.
A perfect opportunity to utilise your current knowledge and skills to hit the ground running to support the business and take responsibility for decision-making, managing debtor accounts and ledger maintenance. Motivated and engaged to support the Finance Manager and adapt efficiently to business needs.
Some of your duties will include:
- Credit assessments for new and existing clients.
- Daily processing of invoices or credit notes.
- Communicate with customers to ensure timely payments or resolve issues.
- Reconciling bank transactions and month-end.
- Managing outstanding debts and preparing bank payments.
- Reviewing and maintaining credit limits.
- Deputise for the Finance Manager (cashflow, payroll, queries, projects, etc.) in periods of absence.
- Support processes to identify improvements with department heads.
- Maintaining compliance and system integrity.
- Ad-hoc duties and providing support where needed.
You should have achieved or have the abilities within:
- AAT and/or CICM (Credit Management) studier or qualified would be beneficial.
- If not qualified - 5+ years’ experience in this area would be considered.
- Strong Excel skills and experience of Xero.
