SalaryPentagon Talent are partnering with a top 100 UK Law Firm in their search for a Credit Controller to join their Finance Department, where you'll play a crucial role in managing overdue accounts, following up on payments, and ensuring our cash collection processes run smoothly.
The firm works on a hybrid basis of 3 days in the office at a minimum, this role will be based in their London office.
Duties to be undertaken by the Credit Controller:
- Reduce unpaid receivables levels by chasing via telephone, email and letter.
- Identify key client contacts to secure recovery and build and maintain professional relationships with these contacts.
- Proactive reviews of the accounts receivable ledger, making recommendations to reduce debt.
- Support the annual year end process.
- Regular meeting attendance with Partners and Revenue controllers to review accounts receivable.
Ideal Skills for the Credit Controller:
- GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths.
- Previous work in a law firm and essential credit control experience.
- Familiarity with Elite 3E is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, filters, vlookups, "IF" statements, etc.).
- Well-organised, good communicator, reliable, adaptable, and comfortable with phone or virtual meetings.
- Self-motivated with attention to detail and commercial awareness.
