Guildford Accountancy & Finance team are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join the team at an award winning, top 100 local legal firm with modern offices, a family friendly feel, established Company that has a 5-star rated service.
This permanent role is ideally suited to an experienced Credit Controller, with a solid employment background who is seeking a new opportunity.

• Salary £30-40,000 (Depending on experience)
• Full time: Monday – Thursday, 08:30 – 17:30, Friday 08:30-17.00
• 25-27 Days Holiday PA (depending on Christmas closing)

Duties Can Include:
• Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks.
• Managing and collecting debts from company debtors.
• Setting up the terms of credit for new clients.
• Negotiating payment plans.
• Managing the collection of all payments and debts.
• Responding to client inquiries.
• Processing invoices.
• Preparing statements and reports for the company accountant.
• Managing the sales ledger.
• Liaising with customers and the sales team.
The ideal candidates have:
• 5+ years’ experience in a credit control role
• Excellent customer service
• Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations
• Analytical skills and thorough attention to detail
• The ability to listen and negotiate with customers
• Excellent verbal communication
• Persistence and determination
• Familiarity with data entry software
• Ability to work well in a team
Qualifications Knowledge and Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or mathematics.
• Previous work experience as a Credit Controller.
• Good understanding of the legal complexities of loans, payment plans, and interest rates.
• Proficient in Accounting and Office software.
• Ability to reconcile complex debtors' accounts.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to deal with problematic clients.
