Overall purpose of the role:
The main purpose of the role is to ensure the safe transfer of Passengers with Reduced Mobility (PRM) through the airport terminal in a timely manner, providing mobility assistance and enabling passengers to enjoy all aspects of the airport experience.
We are looking for a customer focused and friendly individual to join our team of workers and help create a memorable experience for every visitor to the airport.
Main Duties:
- Meet and greet arriving/departing/transferring PRM Passengers.
- Communicate effectively with the passengers and staff
- Assist PRM Passengers at drop off/pick up points, airline check-In, airport security and pre-boarding aircraft.
- Carry out Ambilift vehicle (large box van) driving, Customer Care agent and desk host duties when required
- In a safely manner, assist in the transfer of passengers from aircraft to airport terminal using various equipment; including but not limited to, driving vehicles, aisle chair and wheelchairs
- Provide PRM Passengers with a personal introduction and a brief outline of the processes to follow through the various stages of their journey through the airport. (i.e. Security, Customs, etc)
- Comply with all Health & Safety regulations.
- Use company equipment responsibly ensuring all equipment (radios, devices, etc.) is signed and accounted for before and after every use.
- Liaise at all times with Supervisor/Controller and Front Desk Host.
- Comply with company uniform standards policy.
- Complete equipment checks prior to use including vehicle checks
To be successful in the role, you will need:
- Customer Service and Airport Environment experience is strongly desirable
- Knowledge of Disability Awareness
- Able to communicate with customers and staff at all levels
- Ability to lift passengers in accordance with manual handling guidelines.
- A team player
To meet security requirements, you will need:
- To provide a detailed reference history – references from last 5 years will be checked by Airport authorities
- Pass a basic Criminal Record Check
- Right to Work in the UK
- Pass various airport trainings

Rates of Pay for Roles
- Customer Care Agent - £11.44 per hour
- Driver - £12.44 per hour
- Allocators - £13.00 per hour
