Our client, a successful and established retail shop, is looking to recruit a detail-oriented, self-motivated Customer Service Administrator to join their team in West Grinstead.
The ideal candidate will be a go-getter and will be proficient in using Microsoft applications and possess strong numerical and literacy skills. You must possess a UK Driving Licence due to the rural location of the role, and you should have previous Customer Service experience.

Responsibilities as a Customer Service Administrator
- To provide excellent Customer Service
- To provide administration support within Customer Service and all other departments including sales, ecommerce & warehouse
- Answer customer emails, phone calls & online chats, take orders and up-sell
- Advise customers though product knowledge
- Input Private Mail & Trade orders
- Resolve issues & customer complaints
- Work towards departmental KPI's
- Liaise with accounts team where trade accounts are overdue/over credit limit
- Manage & respond to online customer reviews
- Document and process customer returns & refunds
- Perform tasks using internal database system
- Advise customers though product knowledge
- Assist other departments on administration duties when required
- Maintain a professional and courteous relationship with customers and fellow employees
- Keep office and communal areas clean and tidy
- Undertake any other duties as requested
Experience / Skills
- UK Driving Licence due to rural location
- Previous experience in similar customer care role through telephone, live chat and / or email
- The role requires a high level of attention to detail, good telephone manner, great interpersonal and communication skills
- You will need the ability and enthusiasm to learn new skills and develop an in-depth product knowledge
- Excellent communication and English (written and spoken) is essential
- Good numerical skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel is desirable
- Pro-active, 'can-do' attitude and seek out opportunities for improvement and efficiencies
