This is a Temporary Role for 12 Weeks supporting through a busy period and due to the urgent requirements of the business, applicants must be available to start early January.
We're delighted to be supporting a busy local business with the recruitment of a Customer Service Advisor.
Working within a friendly team environment delivering first class, professional Customer Service, both internally and externally, through a one-stop-shop approach. You will use a range of communication methods such as telephone, email, webchat, social media and face-to-face ensuring customer enquiries are resolved at the first point of contact to maximise customer satisfaction.
Hours of work:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9.00am - 5pm
- Wednesdays 9.30am - 5pm
- Fully office based
Salary and benefits:
- £11.98 per hour
Duties and responsibilities:
- Answering inbound calls from customers
- Processing customer payments and promoting more cost effective methods
- Assessing customers needs and referring on to specialist service officers where appropriate
- Using a variety of software to progress Customer Service requests
- Suggesting and making recommendations to the Team Leader for service improvements
- Handling any issues and resolving these accordingly with tact, diplomacy and empathy
- Attending and participating in corporate training as required
- Providing clerical and administrative duties as required
- Complying with all company policies and statutory requirements
Skills and experience required:
- Experience of working within the public sector or as a volunteer ideal however not essential
- Previous experience working within a Customer Service environment
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience of electronic communication e.g. email and website
- Ability to remain calm when dealing with customer complaints or problems
- Accurate data entry skills with strong attention to detail
- Flexible approach, self-motivated and a team player
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads
- Quick learner
- IT literate - MS Office suite
