Customer Service Advisor - Travel Claims
Salary: 24,380 to 28,830 per annum DOE
Location: Christchurch / Hybrid(After probation period)
Hours: Monday - Friday, Shifts between 8.00am - 8.00pm (plus 1 in 6 Saturdays with day off in week)

As a Travel Claims Handler, you will play a pivotal role as the initial point of contact for customers who have encountered unforeseen events. Your role involves empathising with customers, understanding their unique situations, guiding them through the claims process, and leaving a positive impact on their lives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Accurately evaluate claims in alignment with policy terms and conditions.
- Demonstrate empathy in all customer interactions by understanding their needs and putting yourself in their shoes.
- Identify opportunities to recover funds from other insurers and detect potential fraudulent claims during the assessment process.
- Endeavor to resolve disputes with customers.
- Take ownership of your workload, ensuring timely claims handling and prioritising tasks based on importance.
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues across departments, such as medical assistance and medical risk assessment, to ensure customers receive a seamless end-to-end claims service.
As a Customer Service Advisor, the following skills/experience are needed:
- Preferred previous experience in a call centre or CUSTOMER SERVICE role.
- Confidence in effective phone communication.
- Exceptional organisational skills under pressure with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, seamlessly switching between telephone calls and customer emails.
- Proficient computer skills are a prerequisite.
- Clear and simple communication of information.
