Job Title:Customer Service & Supplier Manager
Location: Cardiff

Out client, a leading player in waste management services, is seeking an experienced Customer Service and Supplier Manager to oversee the efficient operation of their Customer Service Administration and Supplier Departments. As a dedicated professional, you will play a pivotal role in managing, motivating, and developing staff in compliance with company protocols, legislation, and established processes, with a focus on delivering high standards of service and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Sales Support:-
- Implement plans to execute the Company vision and a 3-year sales strategy.
- Oversee the management of the Cost of Sale from external sales staff and provide support to the supply chain for challenging waste streams.
- Develop relationships with existing customers under Customer Service Administration (CSA) control.
- Research specific project waste streams, exploring recycling and disposal options globally.
- Network with existing and potential supply chain partners to create cross-selling opportunities.
- Actively support sales activities for optimal commercial impact.
- Review and authorise customer invoice activity, liaising with Customer Account Managers (CAM’s), Supply Chain, CSA/Transport to enhance service delivery.
Operational/Commercial
- Manage and develop the Customer Service Administration team.
- Coach in the development of services for smaller customers under CSA control.
- Verify customer and supplier invoices, taking investigative actions to resolution.
- Ensure adherence to Customer Service KPI’s
- Communicate intelligence from CSA’s and supply chain to the management team, support by market trends.
- Deliver project reports and feasibility studies for potential business development opportunities.
- Analyse trend analysis for supply chain activity and identify cost reduction opportunities.
- Oversee commodity trading for materials processed through the transfer station.
- Ensure compliance with legislation through site audits and visits with new and existing supply chain partnerships.

- Previous people management experience is essential.
- Experience within the waste industry is advantageous.
- Analytical with a demonstrated ability to follow through to conclusion.
- Comfortable working to tight deadlines and producing key projects in a timely manner.
- Commercially minded with successful negotiation skills.
- Resilient leader capable of engaging and motivating a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, able to priotise and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills with demonstrable Customer Services experience.
- Strong time management and team workload management abilities.
- Strong administration experience complying with ISO 9001/14001 standards.
