We are looking for a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our client's team as a Customer Services Assistant.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality service at the first point of contact.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide a first point of contact for visitors to the Customer Service Centre.


• Resolve customer enquiries received electronically and by post.


• Assist visitors in using self-service facilities, such as internet terminals within the Customer Service Centre.


• Utilize CRM and other systems to maintain high standards of customer service and accuracy of information.


• Update customers on the progress of their enquiries or service requests.


• Maintain good working relationships with department specialists and act as an advocate for the customer.


• Ensure compliance with Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation.


• Participate in team and unit meetings, supporting colleagues and sharing information.


• Maintain reception areas and interview rooms to an excellent standard, ensuring leaflet supplies are updated.


• Operate the switchboard and other telephony systems.

Requirements:

• Recent experience of working with the public and/or customers.


• Good planning and personal organisation skills.


• Effective communication skills face-to-face, over the telephone, and in writing.


• Ability to use basic computer software such as Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, and email.
